In February, 2018 it was the night before boarding my plane home from Japan when I was awoken by an incredible pain in my stomach. After having spent the last four days folded at the hips, convinced that I was just enduring ‘normal’ menstrual pain (something that I had become almost accustomed to as a way of life).. It finally became too much and we rushed to the hospital. It couldn’t have been an hour before I was visited at my bed - mid screams and howls - by a nurse who spoke broken English with a diagram of the female reproductive organs in front of me, pointing ‘we need to operate’.Read More
Few things can express how indescribably happy it makes me to sit on the ground and paint my little heart out for hours on end.. Getting lost in the music, the way the colours dance together, the way my mind wonders off and opens up and suddenly my fingertips are just a portal for the depths of my mind to come to life.. To live sustainably would mean to live in complete balance - everything that comes in equals what goes out - and around and around it goes. Conscious living is very realistic, and is something each one of us can start and better at today.
I’ve been moving for as long as I can remember. Countries, cities, towns. Almost comfortable with a constant flux of change - well, the idea of it anyway. I don’t think anyone can become settled with never quite knowing where to call home. By the time I was 20 I’d lived in equally as many houses, maybe more - each one with a story.Read More
